About Us
Grassroots Landscapes Ltd was established in 1999 by Benjamin Storey. Ben trained at Capel Manor College, and has an HND (Horticulture National Diploma) in Landscape, Design and Construction. Grassroots is a small, personable company, primarily to ensure that our clients have our full attention and knowledge from the very first enquiry to the finalisation of a project.
We pride ourselves in the fact that the majority of our work is through recommendation and word of mouth. This has meant that Grassroots' reputation has grown rapidly over the decades and is highly regarded by our clients in the local area.
We are based in Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire and most of our work is in the surrounding towns and villages. We offer a professional service with high quality workmanship and have full public liability insurance.
The Team
Our landscaping teams are headed up by Ben. In addition, we have Terry (the oldest, but fittest!) who has worked for us for many years, and Alphie who joined us in 2019 on the maintenance team. Alphie completed a Landscaping Course at Capel Manor College in 2021 and has now moved across to our landscaping teams where he is gaining vital hands on experience.
We also have a Garden maintenance team of two (Simon & Marshall) who work hard all year round keeping clients' gardens looking smart and tidy. Simon, who heads up the team, has a wealth of prior gardening experience and has been with Grassroots since 2015. Marshall worked for another gardening company before he joined us in 2022.
